One bright morning in Stonebridge, the whole kingdom was preparing for the Grand Royal Parade.

Flags fluttered from every tower.

Trumpets played in the square.

Villagers lined the cobblestone streets.

King Bartholomew stood proudly on his castle balcony.

Then suddenly—

“MY PARADE PANTS!”

king discovers his royal pants are missing

The king’s voice thundered across the kingdom.

Everyone looked up.

The king stood in a very long shirt and striped socks.

His royal pants were gone.

Gasps echoed through the square.

Sir Cedric placed his hand on his sword.

“This is a matter of the highest importance.”

Merlo stroked his beard.

“Indeed.”

Grumble Ironfoot jumped onto his skateboard.

“A pants emergency?

Flare landed beside them and blinked slowly.

“How do pants run away?”

Nobody had an answer.

Then a shout came from the market.

“There they go!”

The royal pants were sprinting through the town square.

All by themselves.

Golden buttons flashing in the sunlight.

The Brotherhood stared.

Grumble was the first to move.

“Justice rolls!”

He zoomed after them on his skateboard.

The pants darted past the bread stand.

LOAFS flew into the air.

Merlo raised his wand.

“Stop, rogue trousers!”

A puff of smoke exploded.

Instead of stopping the pants, he accidentally turned the town fountain purple.

Sir Cedric charged after them.

CLANK CLANK CLANK

His armor echoed through the streets.

Flare soared overhead, trying not to laugh.

The pants turned sharply into the cabbage market.

WHUMP

They bounced off a cabbage cart and leaped straight onto Grumble’s head.

” Grumble shouted.

He spun in circles on the skateboard before finally shaking them off.

The pants bolted toward the castle garden.

Sir Cedric pointed dramatically.

“They head for the hedge maze!”

Inside the maze, things became even sillier.

The pants zigzagged through the hedges.

Merlo’s beard got stuck in a rose bush.

Cedric’s armor got wedged sideways in a narrow turn.

Grumble shot past everyone, laughing wildly.

Flare hovered above the maze.

Then she spotted something.

At the center of the maze sat a tiny mischievous goblin.

the goblin revealed in the hedge maze

He was giggling so hard he nearly fell off the stone bench.

In his hands was a glowing prank spell scroll.

Merlo gasped.

“Aha!”

“The pants are enchanted!”

The goblin squeaked and tried to run.

But Grumble launched off a stone and landed right in front of him.

“Skateboard justice!”

The goblin handed over the scroll with a nervous grin.

Merlo waved his wand carefully this time.

POOF

The royal pants fell gently to the ground.

Still.

Perfectly normal.

Back in the square, King Bartholomew pulled them on just in time for the parade.

The crowd cheered.

Sir Cedric stood proudly.

Merlo adjusted his hat.

Flare toasted marshmallows from the celebration fire.

Grumble rolled through the square shouting,

“Fastest pants chase in kingdom history!”

And from that day on, whenever trouble struck Stonebridge, everyone knew one thing:

the Brotherhood of Justice was always ready… even for runaway pants.
