One sunny morning in the wobbly little town of Bumbleshire, something very unusual was happening in the town square.

Captain Stinkbeard stood proudly on top of a wooden crate.

In one hand he held a spoon.

In the other hand he held a coconut.

He tapped the coconut like a microphone.

” he shouted dramatically.

The crowd gathered quickly.

Children peeked from behind carts, merchants leaned out of their shops, and even the mayor stopped watering his cactus.

Captain Stinkbeard raised his spoon high in the air.

“I hereby declare… the FIRST EVER UNDERWEAR PARADE!”

The crowd gasped.

At that moment Pickle the Parrot swooped down from the sky and landed on the captain’s shoulder.

” Pickle squawked.

Captain Stinkbeard nodded proudly.

“And whoever wears the silliest underpants will win THIS!”

He lifted a shiny golden object.

The crowd stared.

It was a golden toilet brush.

Pickle leaned close and whispered loudly.

“You found that in a gutter.”

Captain Stinkbeard cleared his throat.

“Details!”

The news spread across Bumbleshire faster than a runaway pie cart.

Soon everyone in town was preparing their most ridiculous underpants for the parade.

Inside a wobbly jelly cottage, Sir Wobbleton nervously opened a glowing trunk.

Sir Wobbleton was known as the jiggliest gentleman in town.

He had never entered a parade before.

“Oh dear,” he muttered.

“If I am to parade… I must be spectacular.”

He reached into the trunk and pulled out a pair of glittery underpants covered in tiny silver wind chimes.

Sir Wobbleton stepped forward proudly.

CLINK.

CLINK.

CLONK.

“They tinkle with grace,” he announced.

Meanwhile, in the garden of the frog castle, Princess Burple was jumping excitedly from lily pad to lily pad.

” she declared.

She proudly revealed her invention.

“BURP-PANTS!”

She pressed a button.

HONK!

BLARP!

BURP!

Princess Burple laughed.

“They play music AND smell like jellybeans!”

Across town, Blinky Banana was already practicing for the parade.

He zoomed down the street on roller skates.

” he shouted.

Suddenly—

SPLIP!

Blinky slipped on a banana peel.

His own banana peel.

He flipped through the air and landed directly in a fruit stand.

The fruit vendor stared.

“Well,” she said calmly, “now you’re a smoothie.”

Soon the whole town gathered in the park for the official Underwear Tryouts.

A big banner hung across the stage.

“UNDERWEAR TRYOUTS!”

Sir Wobbleton walked proudly across the stage.

TINKLE.

TINKLE.

SWOOSH.

Princess Burple performed a royal dance.

BURP!

CURTSY!

BURP-BURP!

Blinky Banana attempted a triple roller-skate flip.

Instead he crashed straight into a pie cart.

Pickle the Parrot nearly fell off his perch laughing.

“YOU GOT PIE’D, BANANA BOY!”

Captain Stinkbeard decided it was time to reveal his own special parade outfit.

He climbed onto a barrel.

” he shouted.

“My JELLY-POWERED UNDERPANTS!”

He pulled a string.

SPLAT!

Jelly exploded everywhere.

The crowd was instantly covered in sticky strawberry goo.

Sir Wobbleton gasped.

“That was my grandmother’s jelly recipe!”

Pickle flapped his wings happily.

“DELICIOUS DISASTER!”

Finally the big moment arrived.

The parade runway stretched across the town square.

Music played.

Flags waved.

The crowd cheered.

Sir Wobbleton stepped forward first.

“Wobble with purpose,” he whispered to himself.

“Wobble with pride.”

TINKLE.

TINKLE.

CLINK.

Next came Princess Burple.

She performed a trumpet solo using her musical burp-pants.

BURP!

BLARP!

HONK!

The crowd clapped wildly.

Then Blinky Banana rolled onto the stage.

He spun once.

Twice.

Three times—

And accidentally mooned the mayor.

Pickle squawked loudly.

“WE HAVE A FULL MOON!”

At last it was time to announce the winner.

A tiny squirrel judge stepped forward holding the golden toilet brush.

“And the winner of the Great Underwear Parade is—”

Suddenly—

POP!

Captain Stinkbeard’s rocket underpants ignited.

Sparks shot into the air.

Captain Stinkbeard blasted upward like a rocket.

” he shouted.

He zoomed around the sky in dizzy circles.

Princess Burple watched carefully.

“Should we stop him…”

“…or sell tickets?”

Finally the rocket pants sputtered and fizzled.

Captain Stinkbeard spiraled down and landed in a giant pile of laundry.

He stood up wobbling.

“Ten out of ten,” he said proudly.

“Would fall again.”

Sir Wobbleton stepped forward and bowed.

“I believe the true winner today is… laughter.”

Pickle flapped his wings.

“GROUP UNDERPANTS HUG!”

Soon the whole town joined the Great Underwear Parade.

Blinky slipped and spun through the streets.

Sir Wobbleton jingled proudly with every step.

Princess Burple burped a perfect musical rhythm.

And Captain Stinkbeard zoomed past waving the golden toilet brush like a victory flag.

” he shouted.
