Zog, Gloob, and Bloop zoomed through space in their shiny ship.
“Next stop!” said Bloop.
“A quiet planet!”
Zog blinked.
“…Quiet?”
The ship landed softly.

landing on silent planet

No bump.
No bounce.
No sound.
The door opened.

Nothing.
Gloob stepped out.

No footsteps.
Bloop clapped his hands.

No clap.

no sound realization

Zog looked around.
“Where is the sound?”
Gloob whispered,
“I don’t know.”
But even his whisper made no noise.
Bloop opened his mouth wide.
“HELLOOOOO!”

Nothing came out.
Zog stepped outside slowly.
He tapped the ground.

No tap.
He jumped a little.

No thump.
Zog’s eyes grew big.
“I don’t like this,” he said.

zog scared in silence

Gloob nodded.
“It feels… strange.”
Bloop tried to laugh.
But no sound came.
“…This is the quietest quiet ever,” he said.
The three friends stood close together.
Very close.
Zog took a tiny step forward.
The ground was soft.
The air was calm.
Nothing moved.
Nothing sounded.
Zog looked at his friends.
They were still smiling.
Still safe.
He took another step.
Then another.
He waved his arms.
No sound.
But… nothing bad happened.

friends playing in silence

Zog blinked.
“…It’s not scary,” he said slowly.
“It’s just quiet.”
Gloob nodded.
“We can still see.”
Bloop added,
“We can still play!”
Zog smiled a little.
He spun in a circle.
No sound.
But still fun.
Gloob floated slowly.
Bloop made silly faces.
Zog laughed—
Even though he couldn’t hear it.
“I am not scared anymore!”
he said.
Gloob smiled.
“That is courage.”
Bloop nodded.
“Quiet courage!”
Zog grinned.
“I like quiet… a little.”
They waved goodbye to the silent planet.
Back in the ship—
CLICK!
Sound came back.
“HELLO!” shouted Bloop.
“THAT IS VERY LOUD!” said Zog.
They all laughed.

back in ship loud laughing

Loudly.
Very loudly.
And Zog smiled.
Because now he knew—
Even quiet places can be safe.
