Professor Puddle and the Runaway Bacteria
When silly bacteria escape Professor Puddle’s lab and cause chaos in Gigglewood, the friends learn an important lesson about germs, science, and staying clean.

In the heart of Gigglewood, tucked between smiling mushrooms and giggling trees, stood Professor Puddle’s laboratory.
It was the strangest building in town.
Glass tubes bubbled.
Colorful liquids popped.
Little machines beeped.
And sometimes…
Things exploded into glitter.
Inside, Professor Puddle was wearing his giant round goggles and his polka-dot lab coat.
Today he was working on something very important.
A jar of friendly learning bacteria.
“These tiny helpers teach us how germs grow,” he explained.
Beside him stood his friends:
Molly Mushroom, Wiggles the Worm, Benny Bumblebug, and Tilly Turtle.
Inside the glass jar, tiny round bacteria bounced happily.
They were bright green, blue, and pink.
Each had silly little faces.
One sneezed.
“ACHOO!”
Tiny sparkles puffed against the glass.
Professor Puddle smiled.
“See?
Then suddenly—
BOINK!
One bacteria bounced higher than the others.
It hit the lid.
POP!
The lid flew open.

Everyone froze.
“Oh dear,” said Professor Puddle.
The bacteria escaped.
One bounced onto the table.
Another rolled into a tube.
Three more zipped out the window.
” shouted Benny.
“The germs are loose!”
Professor Puddle gasped.
“Quick!

Outside, the runaway bacteria had already reached the town square.
One landed in the bakery flour.
POOF!
A giant white cloud exploded everywhere.
Bread loaves looked like snowmen.
Another bounced into the fountain.
Suddenly bubbles filled the entire square.
Children laughed as foam floated through the air.
One pink bacteria landed on Mayor Button’s hat.
It made the hat spin like a pinwheel.
Mayor Button shouted,
“My hat has gone silly!”
Gigglewood burst into laughter.
Professor Puddle arrived panting.
“This is funny…”
he said.
“…but also a scientific emergency.”
Molly looked worried.
“Are they dangerous?”
Professor Puddle shook his head.
“No, these are learning bacteria.”

“They help us understand why keeping clean is important.”
He knelt down and pointed at the tiny bouncing germs.
“Some bacteria are helpful.”
“They help soil grow plants.”
“They help our tummies digest food.”
“But some germs can make places messy and unhealthy.”
Wiggles wiggled thoughtfully.
“So we need to clean them up?”
” said Professor Puddle.
Professor Puddle rolled out his Super Soap Blaster 3000.

It was a funny machine with rubber duck stickers and spinning brushes.
The town cheered.
“SCIENCE TIME!”
Professor Puddle shouted.
The machine sprayed soft soap bubbles everywhere.
The bacteria loved the bubbles.
They bounced inside them.
POP.
POP.
POP.
Each bubble gently carried the bacteria back into glass jars.
Soon the town square was clean again.
The flour was swept.
The fountain sparkled.
Mayor Button’s hat stopped spinning.
“Well done,” said the mayor.

Professor Puddle smiled at the children gathered around.
“Today we learned something important.”
“Science helps us understand the world.”
“Some bacteria help us.”
“Some make messes.”
“And clean hands and clean spaces keep everyone healthy.”
Benny buzzed happily.
“So washing hands is superhero science?”
Professor Puddle grinned.
“Exactly.”
Everyone laughed.
And from that day on, every child in Gigglewood remembered:
A little science can turn a big mess into a big lesson.
