On a wobbly little farm lived a very dramatic cow named Daisy.

Daisy was famous for one thing.

Her BIG, LOUD, EARTH-SHAKING “MOO!”

the day daisy lost her farmer

Every morning her moo woke up Farmer Fred before his alarm clock. Sometimes it even shook apples right off the trees.

Daisy was very proud of it.

But one morning something strange happened.

Daisy opened her mouth, took a deep breath, and prepared for her legendary moo.

“M—”

Nothing came out.

She tried again.

Still nothing.

Not even a tiny “muh.”

Daisy gasped.

“My moo is missing!”

She stomped across the farmyard until she found Chuck the Duck, who was practicing ninja kicks on a sunflower.

“Chuck! Chuck!

Chuck stopped mid-kick and rubbed his beak thoughtfully.

“Maybe you left it in the barn.”

” Daisy said.

So they hurried to the barn together.

Inside, Penny the Pig was rolling happily in the mud.

” Daisy cried.

Penny stopped rolling and thought for a moment.

“Maybe it’s hiding in the hay.”

That sounded reasonable.

Soon all three of them were jumping into the haystack.

Hay flew everywhere.

They dug.

They tossed.

Penny even made a hay angel.

But there was still no moo.

Just then they spotted Sheldon the Sheep chewing something suspiciously.

Daisy narrowed her eyes.

“Sheldon… what’s in your mouth?”

Sheldon froze.

Slowly… very slowly… he opened his mouth.

“BLAAAAH.”

It was just a leaf.

Chuck sighed with relief.

“For a second I thought he ate the moo!”

Sheldon blinked.

“How do you eat a moo?”

Everyone paused.

“That’s actually a very good question,” Penny said.

At that moment a breeze swept across the farm.

Something floated through the air.

Then, from the very top of the windmill, they heard it.

A faint sound drifting in the wind.

“moooooooOOOOoooo…”

Everyone looked up.

” Daisy shouted.

“It’s stuck in the wind!”

” Penny said proudly.

No one asked how.

They quickly made a plan.

Daisy climbed onto a tall hay bale.

Penny curled up underneath like a piggy trampoline.

Chuck jumped onto Penny’s belly and balanced carefully.

Sheldon simply stood nearby and chewed his leaf dramatically.

” Chuck said.

” Daisy said.

” Penny said.

Chuck jumped high into the air and delivered his most powerful ninja kick.

BOING!

The floating moo bounced right off the windmill and flew straight back toward Daisy.

Daisy took a deep breath.

She sucked the moo right back into her chest.

Then she lifted her head and—

“MOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!”

the day daisy lost her loud moo

The loudest moo in farm history exploded across the fields.

The barn rattled.

The apples wiggled.

Even the clouds seemed to wobble a little.

Daisy laughed happily.

“My moo is back!”

Chuck did a victory ninja flip.

Penny started dancing in the mud again.

And Sheldon simply kept chewing his leaf like nothing unusual had happened.

From that day on, Daisy made sure to keep her moo safe.

But not too safe.

After all, a little adventure made every moo more fun.
